I'm from Belgium and we don't do Halloween, but I see the stuff appearing on Facebook and other social media sites. Back in the old days, Halloween was a lot better than it is now. Kids used to dress up as something really scary, like skeletons, ghosts, scarecrows, mummies, zombies… but nowadays they just dress up as princesses, superheroes, firemen, fairies and who knows what. People, don't confuse Halloween with 'Carnaval'. In Europe, kids dress up like their favorite character as such when it's carnaval, which is in February. USA should bring back their old nostalgic Halloween outfits.

9 Y.O. BOY'S HAND BITTEN OFF BY BEAR
A bear has bitten off a 9 y.o. boy's arm in a zoo in china after the boy decided to feed the bear. It's awful. Now that I think of it, why were bears made into stuffed toys ages ago? Bears are dangerous animals, should they be made into stuffed toys for kids to play with? By playing with a stuffed bear, kids tend to think bears are good. Bears are cuddly and friendly and your best friend forever.
Then when they see a real bear in a zoo, they think this bear too is cuddly and friendly, while it's a wild beast that rips you apart the minute you come near. Regardless of this, parents have to be wise enough to know they should never let their child feed any animals in a zoo. They are all wild, even though they do not look like it. Just because they are in a zoo it does not mean they are tamed or trained.

The Maharadja's Express
One day, I'd really like to board the Maharadja's Express train and do all their journeys. It looks amazing and I think this would be such an experience... I am going to make this happen, one way or the other. I MUST make this happen!

Happy Birthday LEGO
I am not one to steal other people's ideas or blogs, but after looking at a blog post by The Accidental Bear I just had to share it as well. This video shows an animated film about the history of LEGO. Although it's 17 minutes long, it's well worth watching. I truly enjoyed it.
From their Facebook Page:
The LEGO Group’s story is a rather nice and simple one we think.
Our Founding Father, Ole Kirk Kristiansen, was a master carpenter and joiner. In 1932, he began to manufacture toys for sale in Billund, Denmark and from then on the LEGO brand was born!
The world-famous LEGO Brick didn’t make an appearance until a little later on in the 50’s. Since then, we’ve brought various toys, play experiences and teaching materials to over 130 countries.
Did you know that on average, every person on this planet owns 80 LEGO bricks? That’s a whole lotta bricks and we’re pretty happy about that! It also means that we’re the 4th largest manufacturer of play materials in the whole entire world, probably in the entire Galaxy!
